Fire Coordinator Course
Duration: 6 hours
The Regulatory Reform (Fire Safety) Order 2005 requires adequate information, instruction and training are provided for persons nominated with fire safety responsibilities. This course is designed for employees nominated as Fire Emergency Evacuation Coordinators who are responsible in whole or part for the safe evacuation within the workplace. This course covers both emergency and non-emergency issues and provides candidates with an appropriate level of understanding to enable them to carry out this vital role effectively.

- The role and responsibilities of the Fire Coordinator
- Theory of fire and classes of fire
- Common causes of fire in the workplace
- The dangers of flashover and backdraught

- Control of hot works
- Periodic fire safety check and inspections in the workplace
- Emergency Fire Plan and Fire Services liaison
- Safe use of fire extinguishers
