Working with you, we will build programmes of study that meet the needs of each individual apprentice and employer. Our programmes base equal importance on the knowledge, skills, and behavioural components of welding and fabrication standards, to produce a well-rounded apprentice and competent welder. We deliver apprenticeship training to the engineering, manufacturing, power generation, oil and gas, petrochemical and process sectors.

Our training centre based in Cheshire is used for apprenticeships as well as out intensive welding courses and welder coding. Our facilities are focused on the Welding and Fabrication sector, which means we can deliver a range of academic and technical skills for welding and fabrication, that meet and reflect the current and future requirements for employers.
Programmes are delivered flexibly across the UK, ensuring the employer and apprentice have a bespoke and flexible journey.
We offer a full service for all fabrication and welding companies and departments, from initial setup, training and managing welder qualifications and coding.

What to expect as an apprentice
You will be taught the practical and theoretical skills associated with fabrication and welding. Across our apprenticeship courses you will learn about many subjects including but not limited to:
- Basic bench fitting and hand tool skills
- Workshop safety
- Measuring and marking out
- Engineering drawings
- MIG
- TIG and MMA
- Flame cutting
- Forming and rolling steel plates
- Sheet metal work
To complement your practical skills you will complete a recognised academic qualification, which will include basic maths, health and safety, pattern development, drawings and associated welding theory.
When assessed to be competent you will actually be able to fabricate plate work from a drawing and assemble components using welding techniques. These are the technical qualifications that meet the required standards to become a fabrication welder in the industry.
