ReAct: Welsh Redundancy Action Scheme

Gain new skills and a new profession

If you live in Wales and have been made redundant in the past three months you could be entitled to a grant to help you gain new skills, retrain, or change your career path.

At the Welding Academy we know that welding is a great career choice and want to encourage more people into this profession, and the Welsh Redundancy Action Scheme (ReAct) is a great opportunity for many to gain skill and experience within welding.

Redundancy Action scheme in Wales

The ReAct scheme is provided by the Welsh Government and is supported by the European Social Fund, to support people living in Wales who have faced redundancy. The scheme aims to allow people to gain new skills, overcome obstacles and improve their chances of returning to work in the shortest time.

If you have been made redundant in the last 3 months, the ReAct programme may help with a grant of up to £1,500 towards support packages to help you gain new skills, retrain or change your career.

Careers Wales can guide you through the process along with the Skills Gateway for Business on 0800 028 4844.
