Coded Welding Qualification Training
As a fully qualified and coded welder, you will possess the skills required to work in some of the most highly regulated sectors in the UK and on a range of safety-critical applications, pressure vessels and pressure pipework. Gaining coded qualifications gives you proof of your skill as a welder and will give you more options when looking for jobs within welding.
We will work in line with your company requirements to oversee the specification, witness and approval of mechanical and metallurgical testing of welded samples as UKAS approved laboratories.
Coded Qualifications for Welders
At The Welding Academy, we provide training for Welder qualifications in coded MIG/MAG, TIG, MMA and FCAW. Practical training can be delivered at our purpose-built workshop in Chester, where you can bring along the materials you wish to weld. Alternatively, we can provide on-site training at your place of employment.

Maintaining your coded status
Welder coding certificates must be signed every six months by a suitably qualified person, by signing they confirm that the welder is still producing welds of the required standard. You must also be formally re-tested at least every two years to maintain your coded welder status.
