Welding fume extractors are necessary kit for all welding operations but they do not come cheap. Especially when you consider having to replace expensive filters once filled.

This was the issue we faced when dealing with the first welding fume extractors we bought. At the time we had to bite the bullet and buy replacements, but we knew there had to be a better way going forward.

Our Solution – Reusable Filters

We took the time to carefully develop effective extractor filters. That could easily be removed and cleaned. And would allow for multiple uses, as long as they are maintained.

Our filter systems are all removable and can be cleaned with a basic vacuum before begin installed and used again.

We have found that a weekly cleaning helps maintain the filters’ condition and allows a single filter to last much longer than a conventional carbon filter.

Our triple filter inserts are also easy to disassemble and clean separately. Making them just as effective throughout their lifespan.

COSHH Guidelines on Welding Fume Extractor Filters

THE COSHH Guidelines on welding laws in the UK specifically say:

Provide a suitable filter for welding fume in the extraction unit and
ensure that it is regularly inspected and replaced when necessary

With X-Tract filters, you will not need to replace filters nearly as often. Regular cleaning also allows an opportunity to inspect the filter for any damage or breakage that might not otherwise have been spotted.
